Tirana International Airport "Mother Teresa", known as Rinas, is the main gateway to Albania. Collecting a rental car on arrival is the most practical way to travel freely around the country. Below is everything you need to know before booking.
Required documents
- A valid driving licence, held for at least 2 years
- An ID card or passport
- The car's deposit, fully refunded on return
- Minimum age of 21
If your licence was not issued in an EU country, we recommend checking in advance whether an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required.
